Savin’ Me (Book 1 Heatwave) Alannah Lynne

Kat Owens is one step away from the highly coveted Vice Presidency of her firm, the last thing she needs right now is the distraction of a man. Erik Monteague disagrees!

Erik is sexy, seductive, charming, and impossible to ignore or refuse. After giving in to Erik’s advances Kat is forced to choose between her career and the man she has fallen for, all while knowing her love may not be enough to save him from self destructing.

Erik’s perfect seduction gets Kat in his bed, the end result is so much more than he bargained for. Erik has spent the last 10 years living with the guilt and self-loathing over his fiance’s tragic death. Falling in love again is unacceptable. But Kat’s loving nature and passion slowly dissolves the carefully constructed walls he has built around his heart, making him face his tragic past and forcing him to make the decision, does he spend the rest of his life running away or risk been devastated by love again.

I love the strong characters in this book, there is great chemistry between Kat and Erik and further chemistry between the group of friends made up by Erik, Kevin and Steven. This book is also sexy, romantic and has a good ending. I highly recommend this book.

The second book in the series is Last Call (Book 2 Heatwave)
