And She’s Filled with Them…
Veronica Gibson doesn’t want anyone to know about her bizarre upbringing. She’s finally escaped her missionary parents and would be enjoying her independence if she didn’t feel so insecure about fitting in. She can easily envision a glorious future with Dwayne—but can she build a new life on a web of lies?
What a wonderful piece of writing, i do love a good military book.
Dwayne is such a gentleman with his sexy accent, huge muscled frame, hes sex on a stick.
He is a Marine returning state side after a 7 month tour, and finds himself struggling with life back home. with the nightmares and flashbacks Dwayne is in a hard place.
Some how through all that there is one person, a woman so quiet, shy, naive and sweet that soothes him she is his balm, she calms him and shows no pity.
Veronica is trying to find herself, to overcome years of awkwardness around other people. Dwayne is big and intimidating but he draws Veronica to him.
The relationship that forms for Veronica and Dwayne is really heartwarming, how they connect is lovely.
Dwayne and Veronica’s friend play a great part throughout the book they all have a great depth of character and interact well with each other.
Although this is the first book that i have read in the Semper Fidalis series there are three books before this one. Not that this is a problem as i feel this book can be read as a stand alone book, you dont feel like your missing anything. I will be looking out for the other book in this series now so i can get more of a marine fix.
A great enjoyable read, heartwarming with a fantastic story line i loved it.
