I feel really bad for saying this, after a author has written a book and put there hard work into a story, but if this book was a colour it would be beige, this story is so bland you get towards 75% in the book before anything really happens, and then thats not much to write home about, before that your just plowing through hoping that some thing will happen.
There is so much repetition in the book, where it comes to Ella’s initial internal dialogue, which is pretty much repeated when she writes in her diary, which i found to be really annoying she writes as though she has been in love with Adam for months and months, where in reality they’ve met a couple of times on the beach to surf for an hour?!?, and at points you then get the same thing again when she is talking to Adam or her friend Kaiyla.
Both Adam and Ella have deep daddy issues that have scared them throughout adulthood, so both Adam and Ella suffer form emotional issues, but you just dont feel there emotions through the writing it was just flat.
The romance could have been so much more, i found it hard to believe that there was a romance at times, for most of the book its just Ella wishing and dreaming about Adam like a school girl with a crush.
Adam constantly wanted for Ella to open up to him and tell him her life story, but he wouldnt tell he anything of himself until practically the end of the book. The ending of the story was horrible not a HEA or a cliff hanger, it just left you with lots of questions that i really cant be bothered to find the answers too in the next book, there’s nothing to draw you into the next book.
Sorry Emily Jane Trent but this story did nothing for me.
