Two years ago, Mia had everything she thought she wanted. She loved her job, and her best friend Nicole was finally recovering from losing her family in a car accident. When they met rock star Zack Walters and given backstage pages for his concert in their hometown of Minneapolis, Mia had no idea she would get involved with the band’s drummer, Chase Harper. It was simple, fun, and exactly what Mia liked best – no strings attached.
Then Chase decided to change the rules and Mia did what she’s always done best: she ran.
Now she’s on her way to Los Angeles to help Nicole get ready for her wedding to Zack. The one thing she’s not looking forward to is seeing Chase again. With his sculpted muscles, strong hands and dark gray eyes that seem to know everything she’s thinking – Chase has the ability to make her forget. He also has the power to make her feel, something Mia refuses to let happen.
When everything around Mia’s life begins to crumble, and she keeps all of her secrets tucked close and hidden away, Chase is the one who steps in to help.
Because he has decided that he isn’t letting her go again. Not until she finally admits she’s his.
I loved Just one song, but this book just blew me away, the intense emotions i went through while reading it was amazing.
Its not often in a book that it is the guy doing the chasing and the girl saying back away, but this is just that. Chase is the huge burly muscled drummer in a rock band who has fallen head over heals so deeply in love with Mia.
Mia on the other hand has some deeply rooted family issues that make her believe that she cant have a forever with anyone her life isnt planed that way for her.
The struggle that this pair go through to be together is so very emotional. I can see why Mia felt that it had to be that way, that she had to push him away, that she couldnt have Chase and a forever with him, but Chase is such a good man and he has all this love inside to give to Mia, i at times wanted to shake Mia and say just give him a chance!!!
The sexual chemistry between Chase and Mia is scorching, they were made for each other.
There are some tense moments throughout the story that have you sitting on the edge of your seat with both Mia and Chase’s situation but also from other characters too.
I like how the characters from the first book are in this book, the continuation in this story from them is great, we get a chance to follow there progress also.
The plot is a winner for me you are kept in its grip right till the end, and we get a titbit of the next story between Jake and Sammy (i hope).
Although this book and just one song can be read as stand alone books they are great when read in order too, both books really pull at your heart strings and have you pleading for more.
