Delilah “Doll” Reklinger never imagined her life with anyone that wasn’t a Hellion. She never imagined there would be a Hellion that could prove himself worthy enough to her father, Roundman, Hellions Club President. Content in living in the bubble of safety the motorcycle club family has always provided, Doll never thought that danger surrounded her.
Roundman has kept the Hellions contained for the last thirty years by controlling the chaos surrounding their lifestyle. When the dangerous side to their business comes knocking on his door, he realizes his precious Doll isn’t safe. The Hellions code may be that women and children are off limits in any altercation or dispute, but that doesn’t mean their enemies follow that same moral compass.
His only child, now in danger from the association to him and his club, Roundman makes a decision. He sends her away with a charter club member that he trusts, in hopes that the trouble won’t follow.
One ride across the country. One simple ride. Talon “Tripp” Crews has been ordered to take Doll on one ride away and to keep her safe. She’s off limits. His head knows this, but his body can’t deny the attraction. She’s feisty, fierce, and fearless.
Constantly in close confines together, can they deny the chemistry? Will they give into the desire? Can one ride turn lust into love?
I must start by saying that i did like some points of this book, but i kind of felt like the plot was missing something. There didnt seem to be enough story, there was plenty of sex scenes for Doll and Talon but not much else. There was a lot of details in the book about things that wernt very interesting, i mean do i really need a full paragraph on the office layout and where the damn filling cabinets are.
Motorcycle club books usually keep me interested and pack a punch but this one not so much.
The whole book was based on Doll being taken on a ride to take her away from the danger surrounding her and the MC club, the trip was around a month (the whole book) but apart from Doll collecting maps from every stop and Doll and Talon having sex and arguing about how they wouldnt be good for each other, how Doll couldnt live Talons life style (which really confused me because Doll has been in the MC club all her life doesnt know much else her dad is the president of the Hellions club, she is the Hellions princess?!???) not much else went on. There was one bit of action that lasted for a couple of pages that added a little umph.
The way the characters spoke to each other was sometimes very confusing the lingo they used was at time hard to get a grasp of, but when you got passed that i wasnt too bad.
I liked Doll and Talon but it was really hard to connect to them, and i really wanted her to get the damn tattoo she wanted, but that was kind of left hanging too.
I cant say that i hated this book but nothing in it made me love it, im sort of interested to see what happens to Tank if there is another book, but i wont be rushing out to buy the next book straight away when it does come out.
