How can they have a future when their past is based on a lie?
The perfect preacher’s daughter, Verity Fairchild, has something that only she and God know about and she wants to keep it that way. Her mistake was easy to keep secret when she was out of town, but now that she’s come back to Hope Parish for the summer, she comes face-to-face with the guy responsible for it all. Boone Outlaw nearly ruined everything for her and despite the fact that he’s now working at her father’s church, she’s determined to stay as far away from him as possible.
Boone Outlaw doesn’t understand Verity’s anger towards him. He barely knows her. In high school she was Holy Mary Verity and she was off limits – except in his dreams where Verity seems way too real. Most of the time he was wasted in high school, not the type of boy Verity would ever look at twice, but he can’t shake the feeling that something might have happened between them. He’s going to break his own rules to get the answers he needs straight from Verity.
What will Verity do when she finds something in Boone that she never knew existed and her perfect mistake is the only thing that could stand between them and their happiness? Will she sacrifice Boone to keep her secret?
This is such a fantastic follow up book to the Perfect Mess.
There is a great mystery of what really happened between Boone and Verity that keeps you wondering, from there underlying encounters in Perfect Mess you just know its going to be good. Then when the bomb is dropped you just like bloody hell! sat on the edge of you seat.
As the story unfolds you can see why Verity had such a hate filled view of Boone in Perfect mess the trauma that she went through, the hurt, pain and guilt she suffers is heart breaking.
There is still the small town vibe running through this book, you know the one where everyone knows everyone else’s business and always has a opinion about it. Verity’s need to be the perfect preachers daughter is what holds her and Boone back as well as the towns view of the wicked outlaw brother.
Boone on the other hand is a victim too there is miss-communication and Verity’s anger toward him that he just doesnt understand. As he and Verity get closer and he starts to understand what happened on graduation night your heart goes out to Boone for what he missed out on, the loss and hurt he feels.
I love how Boone and Verity pull together when everything unfolds, they could so easily push away from each other and turned there feelings into hate.
Boone is such a wonderful guy you love him right from the get go. Verity get some spark in her in this book, i think Boone brings out who she really is and not what she has tried to be for so long.
The triplets are and smoking hot and absolutely hilarious! there camaraderie throughout the books is just awesome.
