Ruby has been in love with Ford since their university days, but she hasn’t seen her former best friend in years–not since the one unforgettable kiss they shared right before he went off globe-trotting and she stayed behind. When he returns to town unexpectedly for their friends’ New Year’s Eve wedding, the sparks between them ignite, but can her wanderer ever settle down?
Ford has never forgotten Ruby, or the kiss that changed everything between them, despite the many women he has tried to erase her with. His return to England for the wedding means a second chance with Ruby–but will one passion-filled evening with her be enough, or has he finally found his home?
Kitty French is an instant ‘One Click’ for me i totally fell in love with her writing when i read the Knight and Play books, Lucien Knight is just so very swoon worthy.
For such a short read this book was romantically charged and sizzling hot.
Kitty sets up this couple right from the start you feel the connection and the deep friendship between Ford and Ruby.
I love Ford’s nick name for Ruby, he calls her Ruby Red and it makes there friendship much closer for it.
The way the story play’s out and Kitty’s descriptive writing really sets the scene, the way the wedding is described you can see it all in your head, the fire light, the candles in the storm jars, Ford sat playing the guitar and singing, its so beautiful you feel like your there.
A wonderful short read.
