Saving Quinton – Jessica Sorensen

Nova Reed can’t forget him — Quinton Carter, the boy with the honey-brown eyes who made her realise she deserved more than an empty life. His pain was so similar to her own. But Nova has been coming to terms with her past and healing, while Quinton is out there somewhere, sinking deeper. She’s determined to find him and help him . . . before it’s too late.

Nova has haunted his dreams for nearly a year, but Quinton never thought a sweet, kind person like her would care enough about someone like him. To Quinton, a dark, dangerous life is exactly what he deserves. And Nova has no place in it. But Nova has followed him, and now he must do whatever it takes to keep her away, to maintain his self-imposed punishment for the unforgivable things he’s done. But there’s one flaw in his plan: Nova isn’t going anywhere . .

This is a continuation of the fantastic Breaking Nova, its intense and so full of pain and passion.

Saving Quinton makes your emotions out of control, you feel as helpless as Nova and Quinton at times, the pain races through your veins with every heart beat you feel the crazy emotional torture these characters are experiencing, but then there is this crazy pull towards the love they feel for each other. This book is just breath taking.

I like how Nova is stronger in this book, watching a damaged character regain their strength, she has found her center and feels strong enough within herself to help save Quinton. Nova never gave up on Quinton.

Quinton just breaks your heart, in this book we watch him self destruct to a whole new level. Quinton goes from smoking weed to numb the pain to using crystal meth and then heroin to block out the pain of his past, the guilt he carries around is huge, he thinks he is responsible for not only the deaths of his cousin and his girlfriend but also the fact that Tristen is also really into drug use.

I loved Tristen’s turn around and i hope he stays that way.

This book is a heavy read but it hit all the right spots. Heavy drug use is a tough subject matter but the way Jessica has written it, you get it. Saving Quinton takes you to some dark places, it evokes strong emotions with its intense story line. This book takes you to a bit of a different level its emotional, a beautifully broken series.

There is a cliffhanger at the end but the wait will not be long the next book is out i April, thank god!
I need to more form Nova and Quinton, i want to know that they both find there way into the light, i want Quinton to be whole again.
