Knox Bauer’s life has unraveled to the point of no return. Fighting to fill the emptiness inside himself, he seeks solace in unfamiliar beds with unfamiliar women. As guardian to his three younger brothers, this can’t go on…they look up to him in every way and all he’s done lately is prove how messed up he really is. Needing a change, he attends a local Sex Addicts Anonymous meeting, where he finds himself tempted by the alluring instructor, McKenna.
Twenty-one year old McKenna is trying to make amends. After losing her parents in a horrific accident, she knows if she can just be good enough, maybe she can forgive herself for what happened. With her newly acquired degree in counseling, she begins leading a sex addicts group where she meets the troubled Knox and her life takes on complications she never bargained for. She doesn’t have time for a bad boy who only wants to take her to bed, even if her body disagrees. The fixer in her wants to help, but trusting Knox’s true motivations might take more courage than she has.
I loved the plot for this book, its fresh and new.
McKenna is the twenty one year old virgin who leads a sex addiction help group, McKenna is a lonely person, her parents past away leaving her with no other family so McKenna spends all her free time volunteering to fill the void in her life.
Knox is a great character, he is the ultimate play boy on the outside its the mask he wears. but when you really get to know him and see what is underneath this guy is a gem.
Knox has stepped up since his mother died and his dad walked away from him and his brothers, he has become the parent, he pays the bills, checks home work, he is their guardian and with that puts alot of pressure on his shoulders with all his responsibility Knox needs an outlet, and he finds it in sex lots of sex.
I love the connection and relationship Knox has with his brothers.
After a run in with the law Knox is sent to counseling for his sex addiction where he meet McKenna.
Knox finds someone he can talk too that understands him and can see where hes coming from without judgement, McKenna finds someone who can be her friend and she sees what a family can be like.
McKenna and Knox start to have feelings for each other. Feelings they shouldn’t be having for a guy in a sex addicts group and his counselor. The sexual tension is palpable you can practically feel the steam coming off the kindle.
McKenna wants to fix him and Knox start to feel like he wants to be fixed.
I loved that both McKenna and Know have an addiction Knox uses sex to get through the hard times and McKenna uses volunteering. They are really more alike than they see.
Knox is sexy as hell and you will adore him right from the get go and McKenna is just a really likable character shes the girl next door, but both these characters are broken in some way, you just want to see them fix each other.
Kendall Ryan has hit the nail on the head with this book you are drawn in to Knox and McKenna’s world and want to stay there long after the book is finished, i cannot wait for the next book to see where these two characters go next. LOVED IT SO MUCH!!!!
