As lead singer and guitarist of the internationally renowned Souls of the Knight, Sawyer Knight is living a life most men can only dream of. He’s surrounded by music, fame, wealth, women throwing themselves at his feet. He has everything…
Yet he has nothing.
Life as one of the world’s most sought after rock stars is tiring, oppressive and lonely. He spends every day being who the world wants him to be, who his manager tells him to be, who his mother expects him to be… all the while fighting against who he really is. Truth is, he’s used to it. He’s actually gotten pretty good at pretending… at living the lie.
Until Jake Reed, his ex-best friend and the only person who’s ever made him ‘feel’, waltzes back into his life as the band’s new head of security. Jake wants Sawyer – always has, always will. Now, he just needs to get Sawyer to admit that he feels the same…
This is a awesome m/m romance book and I fell completely and uncontrollably in love with Sawyer and Jake, there relationship was so beautiful.
Sawyer comes across as scared at times because of his feeling for Jake, he’s not the usual pretentious rockstar he so very likeable. Sawyer is conflicted by the feelings he has for Jake and how the rockstar world will see him if he gives into those feelings.
I loved Jake and his determination to go after Sawyer and the relationship that he thought he would never have. At one point near the end of this book I was holding my breath for so long I got dizzy, I thought it might be all over for Jake and Sawyer the tears were flowing.
I don’t want to give to much away but it’s definitely worth reading, you won’t be disappointed. Amazing from start to finish. This book is full of drama and emotion, I am defiantly a Nicola Haken fan and will read more of her books for sure.
