Deputy United States Marshal Mitch Knox apprehends fugitives for a living. His calm, cool, collected attitude and devastatingly handsome good looks earn him a well-deserved bad boy reputation, both in the field and out. While away on an assignment, he blows off some steam at a notorious Dallas nightclub. Solving the case that has plagued him for months takes a sudden backseat to finding out all there is to know about the gorgeous, shy blond sitting alone at the bar.
Texas State Trooper Cody Turner is moving up the ranks, well on his way to his dream of being a Texas Ranger. While on a two-week mandatory vacation, he plans to relax and help out on his family’s farm. Mitch is the last distraction Cody needs, but the tatted up temptation that walks into the bar and steals his baseball cap is too hard to ignore.
As Mitch’s case gains nationwide attention, how will he convince the sexy state trooper that giving him a chance won’t jeopardize his life’s plan…especially when the evil he’s tracking brings the hate directly to his doorstep, threatening more than just their careers.
A Nice Guys Novel, but can be read as a Stand Alone read.
Holy shit could this book get any better!.
The story of a Texas State Trooper soon to be a Mounted Police Officer and a US Marshall, who are both buff in the body department, devastatingly good looking and down right nice guys, mixed in a plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat with sex so hot your panties will melt right off, it’s a winner all round I’d say.
The first half of this book was slow paced, and I did wonder if it would pick up. But let me tell you it sure did!
There was this huge sexual tension between Cody and Mitch and a will they won’t they for a while, but when Mitch and Cody finally got together, hot damn did it get steamy!
I loved all there phone calls, they were so hot but they also had this sweet quality about them too. There they were these two very male rugged guys, learning about each other and trying to move past there own insecurities, to find a way to be together through the pressures of work and the distance they lived from each other. Sweet.
Cody is a sweet guy, but in the beginning quite insecure about why Mitch would want him, He thought Mitch was out of league, he saw himself as just a guy and Mitch as this beautiful man. It was nice to see how Mitch showed Cody that he was just as beautiful and to watch Cody’s confidence within the relationship grow.
I loved Mitch. A masculine gay guy who knew exactly what he wanted and he was confident enough to get it and he could express his feelings for Cody without any shame.
I also liked the part where both these guys family’s were perfectly fine with there sons/brothers being gay, it wasn’t an issue at all.
Mitch and Cody have to over come self doubt, a crazy killer, huge family get togethers, and much more in this book all of which are pretty big hurdles making for a fantastic read.
So just know that this book is amazing, awesome, wonderful and sexy and it will make you happy deep down inside and leave you wi a smile on your face.
