All I Want (Alabama Summer #2) – J. Daniels

The second book in the Alabama Summer series.

***Author’s Note*** All I Want is a standalone novel, but to fully appreciate the f****ed-up mess that is Luke & Tessa, pick up Where I Belong first.

Luke Evans is a heartbreaker.
I didn’t want to give mine to him. Not when he kept me out.
He gave me enough, just enough to make me fall in love with him. I say this to convince myself. But I know the truth.
I would’ve fallen in love with him at a distance.
Handing my heart over to Luke was the easiest thing I’ve ever done. I was naive when I wished for more, when I hoped he wanted the same things I did.
I try to hate him. I try to forget him.
But it’s not that easy.
Love is a ruthless bitch, and I’m her latest victim.

Tessa Kelly is a man-eater.
When she sets her sights on you, she doesn’t just consume your heart, she goes for your soul.
What we had was perfect, real, and all I would ever want.
But she destroyed it.
She destroyed us.
I try to hate her. I try to forget her.
But it’s not that easy.
Love is for people who have hope, and I have none.

J. Daniels writes books that are full of passion, intense emotions, sexy as hell male leads and awesome kick ass female leads, and this book is no exception, i loved it.

All i want has the perfect blend of humor, romance, angst and sexy hotness.
Tessa and Luke have this crazy blend of a love-hate relationship which goes round in a great big cycle, there are times when the hate over comes the relationship but the sex is hot and feisty. Then there are moments of shear sweetness that warms your insides.
Through all the crazy will they wont they the whole time i was hoping for them to make it as a couple, its crazy but they are so good for each other. They both have really dominant personalities so you can imagine the sparks that fly between them.

Tessa’s character had me laughing out loud at times with her feisty mouth, she always had a come back and can knock anyone down a peg or two without missing a beat. She is tough as nails and totally bad ass.
I really liked Luke, he has had such a crappy family life and doesnt know how to open up and show his feelings, he is emotional distant and of course that’s what Tessa needs, for Luke to open up to her.
A brilliant read, i cannot wait to get my hands on Reeds book next.
