Carolina Cold Fury star Garrett Samuelson never wants to miss out on a single minute of fun. Whether he’s playing hockey, hanging out with friends, or walking the red carpet with a new date on his arm, he lives every day to the fullest. When he meets Olivia Case, he sees someone who’s exactly his type—confident, sexy, smart . . . his next fling. But the more he pursues her, the more Garrett shares a side of himself that other women don’t normally get to see.
Olivia has been keeping a secret. While Garrett lives for the next thrill, Olivia’s not sure she’ll live to see the next day. She’s undergoing treatment for some serious medical issues, and she doesn’t have time for a relationship with no guarantees—especially one with a hot-as-sin womanizer who won’t take no for an answer. But as she gets to know the real Garrett, Olivia can’t help falling for him . . . hard. To reveal the truth would mean risking everything—but you can’t score without taking the tough shots
I love this book and this series, but each one could be read as a stand alone story.
Reading Sawyer’s books are so effortless they are gripping, full of smoky hotness, the stories flow so well you just cant stop reading.
Each story is full of feelings be them sad, mad, angst, love, pain, joy, i adore books by Sawyer Bennett.
I was crazy in love with Garrett and his cheekiness in the first book Alex, and i couldn’t wait to get his story and damn what a story it is, i didnt expect it go on the pathway it took total surprise.
I have got to say from my first meeting of Garrett i didnt think his story to be so heart felt and honest. Garrett is a total player so you expect the player to be tamed but not in the way it played out in his book. Garrett really surprised me i thought he would have been running for the hills as the secret came out boom Garrett turned into a faithful and committed loving boyfriend, loved it.
Olivia has a secret and it is something no one wants to think about but i loved the way that Garrett helped Olivia get through everything. Stevie what a character he is, total joy to read.
For such a heavy subject matter to covered in a book you would expect it to be mostly a somber affair, but you would be so very wrong in this case, Garrett sense of humor really lightens the mood. Also picture a chemo session with the blow up palm tree and ginger ale drunk out of a coconut, Stevie in a sarong with a beach towel on the floor and a sound track of waves crashing on a beach and you will get what i mean.
This book is a wonderful love story, and the epilogue blew me away its so beautiful.
