Zack: A Cold Fury Hockey Novel (Carolina Cold Fury Hockey) – Sawyer Bennett

Rising star Zack Grantham has been stuck in a downward spiral of grief that has put his career on hold. Back on the road with the Carolina Cold Fury, still crippled by emotional baggage, and now a single dad, he’s in need of some serious help with his son. But while the nerdy new nanny wins his son’s heart, Zack isn’t sure he’s ready for a woman’s touch—even after getting a glimpse of the killer curves she’s hiding under those baggy clothes.

Kate Francis usually keeps men like Zack at a distance. Though his athlete’s body is honed to perfection, he refuses to move on with his life—and besides, he’s her boss. Still, the sparks between them are undeniable, tempting Kate to turn their professional relationship into a personal one. But before she makes a power play for Zack’s wounded heart, Kate will have to open him up again and show him that love is worth the fight.

This book has that perfect balance of sexy and sweet with a sprinkle of tension, which for me makes a fantastic read.
I did think this book was going to be one of those that rip you apart emotionally because of the heartache we got a glimpse of in previous books, when Zack lost Gina and the emotional pain he went through.
But this book was more than that Zack still hurt over his loss but this story was about redemption and learning to live again. And boy did Kate show him how to live again!

Kate was a kick ass character she has a sassy mouth, i loved all the nick names and one liners just complimented her personality. I really liked the way Kate wasnt intimidated by Gina’s memory and she pushed Zack and Ben to remember her and feel the joy she brought to there lives.
Zack is sweet and sexy and it was impossible not to like him. For all his rules he set for Kate it was him that slowly broke them one by one.
I’m seriously loving this series the books just get better and better Ryker is next and i kind of want it now please Sawyer!
You know when the name Sawyer Bennett appears on a book cover you in for a good ride, no doubt.
