In Christian’s own words, and through his thoughts, reflections, and dreams, E L James offers a fresh perspective on the love story that has enthralled millions of readers around the world.
CHRISTIAN GREY exercises control in all things; his world is neat, disciplined, and utterly empty – until the day that Anastasia Steele falls into his office, in a tangle of shapely limbs and tumbling brown hair. He tries to forget her, but instead is swept up in a storm of emotion he cannot comprehend and cannot resist. Unlike any woman he has known before, shy, unworldly Ana seems to see right through him – past the business prodigy and the penthouse lifestyle to Christian’s cold, wounded heart.
There is something sexy about getting a story from the mans POV, so to get the fifty shades plot we all love so much from Christian, To get inside the mercurial Mr Grey’s mind and to see his and Ana’s turbulent romance unfold through his eyes is a thing of beauty.
E L James takes us on a journey that as a avid reader i have traveled many times, only this time i feel like i have visited new places and have seen them through different eyes. I felt the emotions much like i did the first time i read fifty shades of grey only now they feel much deeper, as i know how both Ana and christian felt at the time in each situation.
The dream flash backs to Christian’s childhood really pull at your heart strings, but i did love to see the broken world this very successful man grew up in from a child’s perspective.
I really enjoyed the extended version of the fifty shades story in Grey, as we know fifty shades finishes with Ana getting ion the lift/elevator, but in Grey we are treated to how Christian fairs after the break u with Ana.
I especially enjoyed all the instances where it is alluded the Leila is in Christian’s apartment, in the shadows, watching him sleep. It really did set things up for the next part of the fifty shades story where we meet the disturbed Leila. I must say i cannot wait for this next book in Christian’s POV, i need to know what is going through his mind at key points of the next book, im so glad E L James is going to write the next part continuing on with Christian’s POV.
Over all i found Grey to be a brilliant addition to the Fifty shades series, i cannot wait for more.
