Repaired – Melissa Collins

Liam Davis is a man without a past. That’s what he wants everyone to believe, anyway. Hell-bent on erasing any memories of his previous life, he knows that starting over is all he can do. Hiding who he is, where he’s from, why he’s running, and especially who he’s left behind, Liam has run away from everything he’s ever known. His plan works perfectly until one day when Parker Ryan threatens to expose his carefully concealed world.

Parker Ryan is a man without a future. Sure, he’s a partner in one of New York’s most prestigious law firms, but he’ll never be more than a failure in the eyes of his boss, his father. Rather than break away from his father’s standards, he finds himself mindlessly pursuing them, in turn sacrificing anything that would actually make him happy.

When Liam’s and Parker’s lives collide, the ugly truth about who they really are, and who they hope to become reveals itself when they least expect it. As both of their lives become wrecked beyond all belief, they’ll learn how to rely on each other in their journey to become Repaired.

MY REVIEW
I have read a few books by this author now, and i have to say she is fast becoming one of my favorites. Her books have so much passion and real feelings within the pages it flows through you and into your soul. Melissa’s writing is sublime and a joy to read.

Repaired is one of those books you feel under your skin, the plot and story line magnify the characters to such a level that you feel like you know them.
Liam and Parker are two men both in desperate need of love and acceptance. Parker the successful lawyer working at his dads practice, drives a nice car, owns a big beautiful house. To all looking in his life is perfect but underneath the perfect outer Parker is really unhappy, nothing will ever be good enough for his father since he uttered the words ‘im Gay’.
I really hated that Parker had to work so hard to get some sort of acceptance or even love from his father. The relationship that Parker has with Liam, his support and acceptance shows him that no matter what he does it will never please the man he has looked up to for most of his life.
Liam has a heart wrenching past that he wants to keep buried, a past he has been running from for 10 years.
I really loved Parker and his very alpha dominant side in the bedroom, i think it worked really well with the story line. Parker and Liam’s sexploits were well written and steamy hot, they had such a great chemistry as a couple.
I found myself really drawn to Liam’s character right from the start as we know so little about him, so as Parker and Liam moved forward in there relationship and small things about Liam’s past are revealed i just ate it up, and my heart hurt for what he had endured as a child.
Then BAM Melissa throws one hell of a twist in there and im literally aching inside for these characters, i wanted to hug them.
I loved this book and the way it made me feel, Melissa never disappoints.
