Bridger Payne is an enigma that no one can figure out. Wise beyond his years, eerily intuitive and sexy as hell, every woman in The Silo wants him.
None can have him.
Not the real man, anyway.
He might wield the lash for you if you ask prettily, but he’ll get no gratification from it. He’ll definitely make you scream, but he won’t think twice about you when he walks away.
Bridger carries the darkest of secrets. He’s filled with too much pain.
He’s utterly untouchable.
Until she came along.
I have been dying for Bridger’s book since the very fist book came out in this series, i needed to get inside his head and work out why he did certain things and why he acted the way he did, i have been intrigued by his character right from the start. Now thank the wonderfulness that is Sawyer Bennett i have my answers!
Bridger has a roughness about him, yet he is steeped in kindness for those he cares about and will stop at nothing to protect the very few that find themselves in that category.
As Bridger’s past is unfolded between the pages of this book i felt so much hurt for the boy who had lost so much and the way he was treated by the one person who was left to care for him, god i wanted to reach within the pages and slap the crap out of her.
Maggie is a single mum who’s life hasnt gone as planed, she found herself beaten alone and in fear for her life, rescued and dropped at Bridger’s for safe keeping. Maggie and Bridger develop a wonderful friendship first. Bridger wants to take care of Maggie and keep her safe, but he has his reservations and doesn’t know how to move forward towards a relationship with someone who has lived through so much bad.
Sawyer has out done herself yet again and she has saved the best for last, this is a bittersweet moment for me as i really wanted to know Bridger’s story but i know it is the end of the series.
Another wonderful read from a fantastic author.
