Painted on my heart – Kindle Alexander

Artist Kellus Hardin let love and loyalty cloud his past decisions, a mistake he definitely won’t make again. Now, lost and alone, he’s left to pick up the shattered pieces of his broken heart while facing the truth of his reality.

Arik Layne exudes power, confidence, and determination. But when an encounter with the guarded artist shakes him to the core and alters all his future goals, he finds more than just his heart on the line.

For Kellus, opening himself to love isn’t an option.
All Arik wants is to make the artist his.
Can love create a masterpiece when it’s painted on your heart?

I found this book to be slow to develop and couldnt wait for the story to get going, but on reflection now thinking about it, Kindle really let us get to know Kellus and Arik in the first part of the book. I felt i knew the men before they got into the nitty gritty of there relationship. Arik is a good main character, he was unrelenting in his pursuit of Kellus, he felt like he knew him through his art that Arik had admired for a long time so poor Kellus had to play catch up to be at the same level as Arik in the relationship.
Painted on my heart is a emotionally rich story that is a slow build but some what engaging, the one thing that did frustrate me so much was the whole John situation. I want to shout at Kellus and shake him many times over how he reacted to John. Maybe its just me but im sure i would have come to my senses and seen him for his true colours long before Kellus did.
Over all a good read, but it didnt have me glued to my book like previous Kindle Alexander books.
